Looking for advice on how to photograph your work? Shetland Arts staff will deliver a practical workshop around taking photographs of your work for exhibition purposes.

*Update: This workshop is now fully booked.*

Jane Matthews, who manages and curates exhibitions, will discuss creative elements to this and what information curators may look for in photographs and descriptions of your work.

Tara Thomson, one of our Marketing Officers who has a background in film and photography, will go over the basics of composition (lighting, framing) when it comes to photographing your work. She will cover how to use both smartphones and DSLR cameras for this type of photography.

Please bring a small object with you and we will use our lightbox to take a photo that you can keep and use.

This is a free workshop, however booking your space is essential – please e-mail [email protected] to confirm your attendance.
