Mareel

Arts and creativity meet the North Sea

Sited right on the edge of the North Sea on the historic Hay’s Dock quayside in Lerwick, Mareel is a focal point for the arts and creative industries in Shetland.

You can watch, listen, learn and enjoy at our flagship venue. It’s a stunning setting for film screenings, performances and creative courses.

Cinema Memberships are also available at Mareel, offering great value for regular cinema-goers while supporting film at Shetland Arts.

Our cafe is the perfect spot to just unwind with a coffee, watching the seabirds and seals bob by.
