Shetland Arts is delighted to present a number of special family-friendly Easter activities at Bonhoga Gallery over the holidays, including getting the bairns creative for The Shetland Open, an Easter Art Hunt, bairns' craftmaking and a special, limited time only, Easter sale.
The Shetland Open
Shetland Arts has extended the deadline for bairns (<18) entries to The Shetland Open this year, in order to incorporate the Easter holidays. The deadline for bairns entries is now Friday 13th April @ 5pm. The deadline for adult (>18) entries is this Friday, 6th April @ 5pm.
If you're looking for a project for the bairns this Easter, encourage them to get creative and enter The Shetland Open. You could even put in an entry yourself! By entering you and the bairns will have the chance to see their/your work displayed at Bonhoga Gallery from Saturday 28th April to Sunday 10th June, with a public opening on 27th April from 5.30-7.30pm.
The theme of this year’s Open is Landscape, offering all kinds of creative opportunities.
Family Fun at Bonhoga for the Easter Holidays
Bonhoga Gallery is about fun for all the family this Easter and we are putting on a number of family-friendly and Easter-themed activities for you to get involved in. Bring the bairns along to take part in the special Easter Art Hunt, which will help them to get interested in the art around them, as well as give them the chance of winning themselves a delicious chocolate egg. As well as this, the bairns can get involved in crafting and decorating their very own beautiful origami boat to go along with Bonhoga's current exhibition: Jane Wallace's Portage: Anchor Points. These activities are available Tuesday - Saturday, 10:30 - 4.30, and Sunday 12:00 - 4.30,.
Special Easter Sale
Shetland Arts is delighted to announce that, alongside all the other fun Easter activities at Bonhoga during the holidays, there will also be a special Easter sale in the Bonhoga Gallery Shop, for one week only, from Saturday the 7th of April. There will be a dedicated sale section and 10% off everything else in the shop, perfect for Easter gifts or even a treat for yourself. So come along and take part at the Bonhoga Gallery - the perfect day out for all the family this Easter.
