Dylan Moran's 'Off the Hook' to come to Mareel next year

Shetland Arts is pleased to announce that Dylan Moran will perform his new stand-up show Off the Hook live @ Mareel on Thursday 5 March 2015, presented by Mick Perrin Worldwide.

The Perrier Award winner has had huge success as both a writer and performer over the past decade and more. H

e received a BAFTA and a Bronze Rose of Montreux for his Channel 4 sitcom Black Books. His film career has included the smash hit Rom-Com-Zom Shaun Of The Dead, Run Fat Boy Run, A Film With Me In It and, most recently, Calvary, which showed in the cinema at Mareel.

His stand up shows have sold out across the world. Throughout the US, Europe and Australasia Monster, Like Totally and What It Is have cemented this unkempt wordsmith's reputation as one of the foremost comics of his generation earning him the label of 'The Oscar Wilde of Comedy.’

Lisa Ward, Shetland Arts’ Marketing Officer, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming Dylan Moran to Mareel and continuing to bring this kind of world-class comedy to the Isles. We expect there will be a lot of demand for tickets so we’re recommending early booking in order to avoid disappointment.”

Tickets for the show cost £25 / £23 and go on sale on Friday 12 September at 1pm. Supporters and Patrons of Mareel can make priority bookings (two tickets per Supporter/Patron) from Thursday 11 September.

The show is recommended for those aged 15+ and there will be strong language and adult themes throughout.
