New cinema memberships launch alongside cinema ticket price changes

We’re offering new ways to save on cinema tickets and enjoy additional benefits. The memberships will launch alongside updated cinema ticket prices, which will take effect for our April films going on sale on the 26th March.

While our funding helps subsidise all our activity at Shetland Arts, our rising costs – including energy costs and our commitment to being a Real Living Wage employer, mean we’ve had to make the difficult decision to increase ticket prices.

These changes will help ensure the long-term sustainability of the cinema, allowing Shetland Arts to continue offering our current programme of screenings. We’re also introducing new memberships, giving audiences more ways to save when visiting the cinema.

The updated cinema ticket prices (including 10% booking fee) will be:

• £7.15 – Cheap Tuesdays (Tues all day)
• £9.90 – Off-peak screenings (Wed, Thu, Fri afternoon)
• £12.10 – Peak screenings (Fri evening, Sat and Sun)
• £7.15 – Under 16s

Alongside these changes, Shetland Arts are pleased to announce new cinema memberships which offer a range of benefits for a variety of cinemagoer.

Becoming a member helps keep Mareel’s cinema thriving locally. Memberships will be available for purchase on Thursday 26th March at shetlandarts.org.
