Mareel to take part in National Cinema Weekender 2026 campaign

We’re excited to announce we’re taking part in the National Cinema Weekender on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September. During the weekend, cinema tickets will cost £4 for all customers, all weekend.
The campaign will see cinemas across the UK coming together for a two-day celebration of cinema and the unique joy of the big-screen experience. Cinema First announced the campaign following the success of National Cinema Day, which was first launched in 2022 and proved to be an immediate success, achieving 1.46 million admissions in a single day, which then grew to 1.56 million admissions the following year in 2023.

We hope to see lots of people this weekend and maybe some of those who haven’t been in a long time.”
