Exciting Opportunities for Shetland Creatives: 2025 Commissions Launching Soon!
We’re thrilled to announce that we’re kicking off the New Year with another round of commissions for artists based in or connected to Shetland! While full details won’t be available until January, we wanted to let you know about this great opportunity so you can get planning!









- What are we looking for?chevron-downWe’re eager to support:
- The creation of new work.
- Development of existing work.
- Workshops and learning opportunities.
- Training and professional development for artists.
- Who can apply?chevron-downThis opportunity is open to artists from any discipline, including visual art, craft, music, film, dance, comedy and literature. You must be based in or have a strong connection to Shetland.
- What information will you need for your application?chevron-downThe full guidance will be published on 8 January 2025, but you can start considering:
- What you plan to do with the funding.
- The impact of the funding to you and the wider community.
- A breakdown of costs, along with details on when and where your project will take place.
- What types of work have we supported before?chevron-downHere are some examples of successful commissions from recent years – be inspired but not limited, you can apply for whatever you want!
