Ali Plumb’s Untitled Film Quiz Project to visit Mareel
The visit comes as part of a tour across other cinema venues in the UK.
We look forward to welcoming BBC Radio 1’s film critic Ali Plumb to Mareel with his Untitled Film Quiz Project on Friday 21 August (7:30pm).
Self-described as “that movie bloke off the internet with the interviews and the specs and the beard”, Ali is taking his nerdy film quiz on the road again. He’ll be taking his suitcase full of prizes and brain full of silly film-related questions to good ol’ Mareel. What should you expect, you wonder? Think ‘Guess the film from the Lego minifigure’, ‘Where’s Wally?’ but with Paddington and an absolute belter of a big-screen video observation round.
So if you know your Batman from your One Battle After Another, your Spielberg from your Cronenberg, your Disney from your Pixar (okay, Disney•Pixar), join Ali Plumb for an evening of spot prizes, absurd music rounds, perplexing motion picture puzzles and the occasional half-decent joke as he clumsily, amiably, enthusiastically asks you questions that’ll make you go, “Oh I know this one!” or “Argh, I nearly know this one!” You know, in a fun way.
This event is suitable for ages 15+. Tickets are booked individually – Max. 6 people per team.
Tickets for Ali Plumb’s Untitled Film Quiz Project cost £5.50 (inclusive of 10% booking fee) are available to purchase online from tickets.shetlandarts.org, in-person at the Box Office in Mareel, or by calling on 01595 745 500 during opening hours of 10am-9pm, Tuesday – Sunday.
