Klub Revolution and Shetland Arts are absolutely delighted to announce that The View have agreed to step in at short notice to replace the Happy Mondays as headliners for our event at Mareel on Saturday 15th December.

The View, who were formed in Dundee, are one of the UK's best known rock bands and have a formidable live reputation. The band have 4 top 20 albums under their belt including their debut, Hats Off To The Buskers, which hit number 1 in the album charts in 2007.

The View will now begin their winter tour in support of their new album, Cheeky For A Reason, at Mareel in Shetland on 15th December before heading back down the road to play sell out gigs at Glasgow Barrowlands and Dundee Caird Hall.We hope you all agree that The View are a more than worthy replacement for The Happy Mondays who unfortunately had to postpone their Shetland show and other European dates due to a medical matter concerning one of the band.

Special guests for the show will be announced soon.

Tickets for The View + Special Guests at Mareel on Saturday 15th December go on sale on Saturday 1st December from 10am at Shetland Box Office at Mareel and Islesburgh.
