Come along to Mareel Café Bar this Sunday (23 December) from 2pm – 5pm to enjoy a smorgasbord of cool jazz standards and modern jazz-funk classics from Shetland’s finest jazz young-guns Max Tyler, Hayden Zappa Hook, and Norman Wilmore.

Max, Hayden, and Norman are all music students currently studying at Mareel and perform regularly around the Isles. At the Jazz Session, Max will be playing piano, Hayden will be on double bass, and Norman will provide smooth melodies on the saxophone.

Shetland Arts’ Music Development Officer, Bryan Peterson, said: “This is an excellent opportunity to take a break from all the Christmas madness and sit back and relax to some smooth jazz from some fantastic young musicians.”

He continued: “Max, Hayden, and Norman are great examples of the high standard of students currently studying at Mareel, and they are sure to entertain jazz-fans and newcomers alike.”

The Sunday Jazz Session will take place in Mareel’s Café Bar on Sunday 23 December between 2pm and 5pm. All are welcome to attend.
