OUR MISSION - Through arts & culture, ensure that everyone in Shetland is able to thrive and live well in strong resilient communities.

April - June has been a busy first quarter with a packed schedule of films, music, crafts, arts, drama, theatre, literature and visual arts at Mareel and Bonhoga.

Shetland Noir literature festival was a huge success and it was fantastic to welcome so many people to Shetland for the first time. We reached the end of the academic year and we are delighted to report that all our students passed! Scottish Award-winning comedian Gary Meikle had the crowd in stiches and promised to be back next year. It was a strong start for the summer films, jam packed with highly anticipated sequels like; Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Fast X, John Wick: Chapter 4 and The Evil Dead Rise. Our Summer Showcases began at Bonhoga with artists and craft makers exhibiting work available for purchase.

Take a look below at more of our Q1 highlights;

As well as the activity we support above, we also have a range of hired events, exhibitions, weddings and private functions in our schedule too.
