LK 243 UnderSail’ (Research & Development phase) as part of Calouste Gulbenkian Scottish Islands Project

Shetland Arts is looking for an established Artist to research the feasibility and to develop potential models for a visual artist residency of international standing to take place on board The Swan for the duration of the Tall Ships’ Races in 2011.

The Research and Development phase will take place between Monday 4 October – Monday 8 November 2010 based in Shetland and North Uist.

LK 243 UnderSail is the result of two years’ consultation and discussion between Shetland Arts, the arts centres and organisations based on Scottish Islands, The Swan Trust, Scottish Arts Council and Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. It is an exciting opportunity, which we hope will attract some great applications.

LK 243 UnderSail is a partnership project between: Shetland Arts, The Swan Trust, and Taigh Chearsabhagh (North Uist). It is funded by: Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Scottish Arts Council, and Shetland Arts.

Application packs are available from the Opportunities section of this website or by contacting us
