Shetland Arts have announced the full line-up Hogmanay event at Mareel, hosted by Peatbog Faeries, one of Scotland’s best-known names in contemporary folk music!

It has now been confirmed that the Peatbog Faeries will be joined by an exciting local line up of Herkja, Arthur Nicholson and Kris Drever, Girsie and The Loose Ends and Haltadans!

The night will begin with a traditional Shetland variety concert, opened by the Peatbog Faeries with performances by the local bands and musicians, followed by supper and the chance to relax in one of the cinema screens, while the stage is re-set for the Peatbog Faeries to bring in the bells for Hogmanay 2018! Then it’s time to dance the night away with our mixology DJs and the Alan Nicholson Dance Band.

The event has again received support through Scotland’s Winter Festivals, a programme designed to celebrate the spirit and fun of Scotland’s winter season with a range of exciting events and activity throughout the country; celebrating heritage and culture through the best of Scottish music, arts, food and drink and entertainment.

Two separate tickets are available for the night, one for the variety concert for £30, and one for the Bells & Dance for £40. A combination package providing access to both elements is also available for £60. Tickets are on sale at www.shetlandarts.org over the phone on 015950 745500 or in person at Mareel.
